__ Film – Behind Closed Doors
Behind Closed Doors is a short film which I devised, scripted, directed, filmed, edited and produced. It focuses on a middle-aged woman who has been out of a relationship for some time. She has bumped into an old acquaintance who she has then invited to dinner. But the evening doesn’t go as expected. Running time 5 minutes.
Film – Knowing me
A one minute opportunity to get to know a little more about me, my life, my loves and my creative style. Here I present who I am in a creative style, without voice over or script, but just relying on visual expression.
Film – The Maddening
The Maddening is a three minute art house style film,
depicting unusual bio-destructive behaviour, hightlighting unexplained consequences of chemical or other environmental disruptors.
About me
For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by film and the different responses it can evoke in people. Be it love or disdain, the way film – as both a medium of entertainment and an art form – provokes audience reaction is deeply interesting to me.
My study with the National Film and Television School in London has taught me that it involves many skill sets to convey complex ideas that create real impact. It starts with innate creativity and a passion to learn, which I have in reams.
On this site, you will find just a few examples of my work across film, photography and music, plus details of some experience in Scriptwriting, creating a Production Design mood board and also Directing and Staging.
Picture this: I was 12 years old when I watched the film “Gremlins” for the first time, surrounded by my family. At the start of the film, I was happy and calm, but by the end my palms were sweaty, heart was racing and I had never felt more unsafe in my own home. Now as an adult, even the thought of that film still sends shivers down my spine. It amazes me how such an unrealistic event could affect me as much as it did and that, even now, knowing how impossible it would be for those exact events to ever happen, it still terrifies me. But that film started my obsession for filmmaking. Through my studies and extra-curricular activities, I have gained valuable experience in creating narratives, directing, music composition, staging, working with sound and experimenting with my own short films.
